On September of 2005, the PS 91 O.S.T. After-School Program began to serve over 100 children. Our program is a collaboration between Out-of-School time (OST) and the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council. Our after-school program is open to 1st thru 5th grade students of PS 91 and it operates Monday thru Friday, between 3PM-6PM, during a school calendar year.
Our goal is to provide a learning environment that supports Board of Education performance and recreation. We provide a fun and safe environment for which students partake of recreational, educational and creative activities. Snacks are provided by USDA through School Food, NYC Department of Education. Our Homework Help program enhances the students’ school day experience. O.S.T. also emphasizes computer literacy along with health and social development. Our participants have covered such topics as multicultural awareness and safety.
Below, are listed some of our major Educational and Art activities:
Homework Help, Arts & Crafts, Adventure Education, Game Room and Multicultural Activities.
Here are some of our major Recreational activities:
Basketball, Wiffle Ball, Steal the Bacon, Ship Shore, Mouse Trap, Chess, Mancala, other quiet games and more group activities.
Special Programs and Celebrations include:
A Halloween Party, a Christmas Party, Spring celebration, shows and safety programs.
The PS 91 O.S.T. After-School Program along with our friends, look forward to finding new avenues of learning. Together everyone achieves more!
